Caring for Your Plush Toys

Keep your cuddly friends soft, clean and ready for hugs with these simple tips. Always check the swing tag first, but our plush range is designed for surface cleaning only.

Everyday TLC

  • Give them a gentle shake and fluff to keep the filling even.
  • Keep away from rough surfaces, pens/markers and food spills.
  • Rotate cuddles at bedtime so one toy doesn’t get flattened.

Quick clean (most marks)

  1. Mix a little mild soap in lukewarm water.
  2. Dip a soft cloth or sponge, wring it out well.
  3. Dab the marked area; don’t soak the toy.
  4. Wipe again with clean water to remove soap.
  5. Blot with a dry towel, then air dry completely.
  6. Lightly brush the plush with a soft clothes brush to restore fluff.

Freshen between washes

  • Sprinkle a small amount of bicarbonate of soda, leave 20–30 minutes, then brush or vacuum on low.
  • Air the toy near an open window (avoid direct sunlight).

Stain tips

  • Mud: let it dry, brush off, then spot clean.
  • Sticky residue: use a baby wipe, then dab with soapy water.
  • Oily marks: a tiny drop of washing‑up liquid on a damp cloth, then rinse and blot.

Drying and reshaping

  • Reshape gently while damp and let the toy air dry away from radiators or direct heat.
  • Do not tumble dry. Do not iron.

Storage and safety

  • Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
  • Check seams and embroidery regularly; if damaged, remove from young children until repaired.
  • Suitable for ages 3+. Keep away from open flames.
